Loveland, CO – Introducing Doug! Doug (ID A755642) is a handsome rooster who is in danger at the moment because he is in a shelter which is overcrowded with roosters. This shelter sends the roos who aren’t adoptable to be eaten at a raptor rehab center if the owners of the surrendered roosters elect this option when dropping off the bird. He is super adorable and would make a wonderful rooster friend for your hens or bachelor flock! Roosters are intelligent, empathetic, and affectionate pets. He is looking for a new home where he will NEVER be killed, protected from predators, taken to the vet when sick or injured, and well-cared for and loved as a pet and fellow family member.
