Novelty, OH – Introducing Rocky and Madonna! Rocky was found as abandoned and brought into the shelter before he was ripped apart by predators, which is what normally happens to 95% of the roosters who are dumped. He has been the perfect gentleman for his new hen. Rocky has inspected and prepped all the nest boxes, he has shown her where the best dust bathing spot in the yard is and is always sure to point out when we are bringing treats. Rocky has been well behaved for coop cleaning and handling. Rocky must go home with his hen, Madonna.
They are looking for a nice home together when they are available for adoption. They are looking for a new home where they will NEVER be killed, protected from predators, taken to the vet when sick or injured, and well-cared for and loved as pets and fellow family members. Please consider opening your heart to them, and providing them a happy, no-kill, forever home they deserve!
